Carpathian Paranormal

Carpathian Paranormal was founded by Edward O'Toole, the Carpathian Ghost Hunter. Edward was born in the historic English city of Chester. Having moved around the United Kingdom in early childhood, living in North Wales, the Yorkshire Moors and near to the Uffington White Horse, he was educated at Isaac Newton’s old school in Grantham and later studied Culture, poetry and writing under George Szirtes at Norwich. For most of his adult life, he has lived and worked abroad in various countries, including Israel and Switzerland. Edward’s lifelong passion for the occult and paranormal has led him to study and practice a plethora of paradigms and has taken him to many sites of esoteric and anthropological interest, such as Australia and the Sahara Desert. It was his interest in vampires that led him from Bran Castle in Transylvania to his current place of residence, the Slovakian Carpathians where he lives with his wife, three children and Bullmastiff in a remote Ruthenian village. Formerly Phenomena magazine’s Esotericist-at-large, Edward continues to research and hunt empirical proof for the existence of the paranormal, tracking ghosts in ancient castles and folklore spirits and gods in fields and forests.

We are particularly interested in making long-lasting relationships in the area of media

One of my favourite ways of capturing ghosts on film is to use the old technique of facing mirrors. Place yourself halfway between both and photograph one. It's amazing what you can see behind you...

This photo was taken, using this method,  in my old bar, In Vino Veritas, Presov, Slovakia (featured in Carpathian Ghost Hunter)

This is my personal favourite photograph of the face of a young lady spirit who frequented the bar.  Ignore the bright flashes and look at the photo as a whole to see her face.
